FAQ – Ordering process

Ordering Process

The thought of investing your money into something so precious online can be intimidating for many of my customers.
Understanding how the process works can be helpful.

Please note: all of our designs are custom made one of a kind pieces, therefore wait times can be 12-14 weeks from the time we receive your precious inclusions depending on the design you would like to have made.

Place Your Order

All orders are made here through my website. When you select the item you would like to order, you will also be able to select any colour(s) you wish for. Once you have finalised your selections, you can pay for your order through my online checkout. There is a Notes section in the checkout, where you can let me know any extra information or special requests. You are also welcome to email me. if your information won’t fit in the space provided. You will receive an email confirmation of your order.

Send Your Inclusions

If you have ordered an item that I will craft using inclusions you send me, now is the time to send them in. My address is PO Box 1417, Baulkham Hills NSW 1755. I recommend sending your inclusions with tracking, via express or registered post.

Ring Sizing

If you ordered a ring, I will post you a small, adjustable ring sizer. It’s like a little tape measure that slips over your finger. Once you’ve received your ring sizer, please measure the size of the finger you will wear your ring on, and email me. If you’re not sure of the best size, you’re welcome to send me a photo of the sizer on your finger, and I will work it out for you. You don’t need to return the ring sizer to me.

Crafting

Once I have received any inclusions and sizing information, your order will take 12-14 weeks to finalise. Sometimes I send sneak peek photos before sending an order home. If you would prefer to keep your order a surprise until you receive it at home, please let me know in the Notes when you order.

Sending Your Order Home

When your order is ready to send home, I will give the sending information to Australia Post. They may email you tracking information, and updates of your package while it’s in transit. You will also receive an email from me, to let you know your order is complete.

How does a GIFT VOUCHER work?

When you order your gift voucher select the amount you would like to purchase and leave in notes at check out the following details

The expiry date on all gift vouchers is 3 years from the date of purchase.

Can I wear my resin keepsake jewellery 24/7?

The resin stones I make are hardwearing but there is something about wearing your pieces 24/7 that is not ok with any kind of jewellery unfortunately. Anyone, any stones including the biggest jeweller in the world recommend against 24/7 wear. Additionally the resin stones need special care like the pearls. Which means avoiding chemicals, exposure to sunlight for very long times and and avoiding water exposure constantly. You shouldn’t sleep with any jewellery if you want it to last forever. Genuine diamonds can chip after wearing for years and claws break in 10000$ rings or $500 ring from any jewellers if you don’t care for your precious pieces. So I can’t tell you yes, be tough on your pieces 24/7

I do make genuine rubies and sapphires with hair (from our Mevisto collection) and these have high resistance to heavy wear like diamonds but ultimately you still have to care for them. I’m sorry if this isn’t the answer you are looking for.

How does ring sizing work?

When I receive your ring order, I will send you a ring sizer.  You can use this ring sizer to measure the size of the finger that you will wear your ring on.  You can email me your size, or email me a photo of the sizer on your finger so I can work out your best size.  The ring sizer is disposable, and doesn’t need to be returned to me.

How much should I send?

Cremation ashes – For resin items, please send me ¼ of a teaspoon of ashes per item.  If you have ordered a Mevisto ruby or sapphire, I will need 50-100g of ashes.  Any unused ashes will be returned to you with your finished order.

Breastmilk – 5-10ml is enough breastmilk for several items.  I recommend measuring the breastmilk with a syringe.  Any unused preserved breastmilk will be returned to you with your finished order.

Hair – For resin items, it’s generally best to send a lock of hair around 3-4cm long, however I can craft with as little as one strand of hair if I need to.  If you have ordered a Mevisto ruby or sapphire, I will need 10g of hair.  Any unused hair will be returned to you with your finished order.

Sand/Soil – like cremation ashes, only ¼ of a teaspoon per item is required.

How do I send my inclusions to you?

I recommend sending all inclusions via express or registered post, so there is a tracking number.

Cremation Ashes – Please send me your ashes double-bagged in ziplock bags, with the air squeezed out.  The bag can then be posted to me in a padded envelope (which are usually available at the post office).

Breastmilk – Please send me your breastmilk double-bagged in ziplock bags, with the air squeezed out.  The bag can then be posted to me in a padded envelope (which are usually available at the post office).

All other inclusions – Please send me any other inclusions double-bagged in ziplock bags, with the air squeezed out.  The bag can then be posted to me in a padded envelope (which are usually available at the post office).

Does the breastmilk need to be fresh?

Any breastmilk is perfect for crafting with.  It doesn’t matter if it’s fresh, frozen or out of date.  If you are sending breastmilk from the freezer, I recommend allowing it to defrost before sending, as this will minimise condensation within the package when you post it to me.

Will the breastmilk go rancid in the post?

Generally it doesn’t, and even if it sours a little, it’s generally still fine for crafting with.  It’s important that the air is squeezed from the ziplock bags when you package the breastmilk to send, as this reduces the likelihood of mould spores growing.

Will my breastmilk jewellery turn mouldy?

With proper care, your breastmilk jewellery will not go mouldy.  Before crafting, I preserve breastmilk to a powder, using a method created and endorsed by Amy McGlade, The Breastmilk Queen.  This preservation process leaves your breastmilk completely dry as a powder.  As the breastmilk is then devoid of moisture, it can not grow mould.

•It is a requirement that all packages are labeled with your name and order number as well as sending your precious inclussions with tracking. It is recommended to send with signature on delivery.

•Prices are subject to change without notice due to price fluctuation in gold prices on the market

•Gift vouchers are not transferable.  3 years valid from time of issue Please read carefully the expiry date as we are not legally liable as per ACCC Australia and NSW FairTrading to honour the expired vouchers. •You can not purchase a gift voucher with a gift voucher

Can I change my mind and cancel an order? You can cancel an order within the first 24 hours with full refund since placing the order. Unfortunately for change of mind after more than 24 hours attracts a 50% fee so you will be refunded only 50% of your purchase on this case.

Our guarantee covers any defect caused by faulty materials or workmanship. Our guarantee does not cover defects relating to general wear and tear, scratching, damage caused by accidents, neglect or misuse, or any resulting loss of the item or precious stones from the item. If the item has been repaired or modified by someone other than ourselves the guarantee is void.

In the rare event of a problem, please inform us and send back your piece as soon as possible for inspection. Items that are covered by the guarantee will be repaired free of charge. Items that are not covered will be quoted for repair.

Our keepsake stones are set in resin grade jewellery and have to be treated with outmost love the same way you treat pearls. Do not expose them to chemicals, extreme heat and avoid getting them exposed to water especially chlorine pool water and during shower times. Please follow the care instructions provided with your order.

    Hi Nicoleta
    I’d love a ring made with some ashes from my Golden Retriever Harry. How much in weight do you need to make a ring as I don’t want to send you the whole lot as there is quite a bit. I’d also like a quote also?
